Four simple steps to creating your first album…

…cover.

There’s a game that’s been circulating on a few forums for quite some time now, and it’s pretty fun. You can create some pretty cool and creative album covers just by using the random feature on a couple of websites. Hey, if you wanted to you could also use it for your real first album cover! (I’m pretty tempted to start up a band called Doxacurium Chloride).

Here are a couple that I made a while back, I’m about to make one now using the rules and I’ll post it at the end:

Right, on to the rules:

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random — the first article title is the name of your band. If the Wikipedia entry is the name of a real band, then reload the page.
  2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 — the last four words of the very last quote is the title of your album.
  3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ — no matter what, the third picture is your album cover (if the user has disabled downloading of the photograph, then reload).
  4. use your graphics program of choice to piece it all together!

Here’s the latest effort that I got, following these rules:

I’d love to see what you can come up with. Upload them to your favourite image host, and post the link in the comments!
